I am not your usual REALTOR.   I have lived all over the country, and ultimately settled here in the Inland Empire over 17 years ago.  I grew up in a military family, and moved 12 times before I graduated from high school.   After high school, I attended the University of Texas at Austin on a Navy ROTC scholarship, and immediately entered active duty after I graduated in 1975.  I served on active duty in the Navy, as a helicopter pilot, for 11 years, and remained in the Naval Reserve, where I retired after 20 years of total service.  When I left the Navy, I joined the civilian side of the Federal government, working in law enforcement as a Special Agent for 22 years, serving first with NCIS (yes, they now have a TV show), then with the Environmental Protection Agency and finally as an Air Marshal.  I retired from the Federal government after a total of 33 years of service.  However, two of my sons have subsequently joined the Navy.  One is flying F-18's and the other one is a Navy Corpsman, assigned to the 1st Marine Division right now.
